In principle, the store is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9am and 5pm.

Due to performances, this is not always the case. Call us in advance to make sure you are not coming in vain.

What is the difference between the peppers?

1 pepper is drawn fairly faithfully with a slight exaggeration
2 peppers, these are the most examples on our website, is a funny caricature that is certainly not offensive
3 peppers, hereby the draftsman "loses" the exaggeration. This can be seen very clearly!

How do I order and pay for my caricature? Step-by-step.

You first choose a category of caricature drawings in the webshop or on the homepage and decide immediately for a drawing with 1 person or a group caricature.

Then upload 1 photo per person (jpg format). It is even possible to select a mild or a more spicy drawing, by adding 1, 2 or 3 peppers. You can also choose additions or products. You immediately see the quotation. With the caricature with body 1 addition is free, with caricature with background 4 additions are included.

You transfer the amount to our account.

You will receive your caricature within 14 days * caricature by e-mail (* You can also change the delivery time, see order page starting  within 24 hours) The delivery-time applies to the digital version by e-mail. Next day the frame or other product will be taken in production and will be send to the address you provided.

Can the caricature be extended with the profession or hobby of the person?

Yes, we can extend the caricature with specific details such as hobby, object, text, or background such as house, car etc.

Which photo should I upload?

Make sure the photo you upload is recent, so with the right haircut, glasses, etc.
The color of the eyes and hair should be clearly visible.
A cheerful, not too posed photo gives the best result. The size of the photo must be 500 x 500 pixels.
 If the photo is not found suitable by the caricaturist, an email will be sent with the request to send a better photo.

Are changes possible afterwards?

Unless a sketch is requested in advance, changes are not included.
In order to avoid changes being necessary, it is especially important to upload a good photo. So be aware that the picture is recent, that the color of the eyes and hair is correct. Not too posed.

Can I see a sketch beforehand?

Yes, with the caricature with background you can indicate whether you want to see a sketch once, so that you can indicate changes. 
Additional costs for a sketch: 45 euros.

Can I have a drawing made for more than 20 people?

If you want to make a drawing for more than 20 people, please fill out the custom form with the specific wishes. We then make a quotation and you can place the order in response to this

When will I receive my caricature?

You will receive your caricature via email and the delivery date depends on the completed delivery time with your order. Can vary from 24 hours to 14 days

When will I receive my product with the caricature on it?

Your ordered product will be taken into production and shipped within 24 hours of the mailed drawing. This means that most products will be delivered to you within 1- 2 working days after the drawing.

For some products, such as the wooden panels and the canvases, a delivery time of 4 extra working days applies

What is cartooning

In cartooning, the draftsman makes cartoons of situations.

During a presentation, a brainstorm session or other meeting, the draftsman is present and on the basis of what is discussed, drawings will be made. At the end of the session you can see in cartoons what has been discussed.

How long will the caricatures be online?

Our goal is to keep all caricatures online as long as Karikatuur.nl will exist.

Does the copyright apply to my caricature?

Personal use is permitted. For any commercial or professional use, first read the 'Conditions'.

Is it possible to print the caricature on paper or on a coffee mug or T-shirt (and send it by post)?

Yes, we have a special store where we sell products on which your caricature can be printed.

A few ideas:
* neatly framed in a list of your choice
* printed on a T-shirt, apron or mouse pad
* printed on a coffee mug or wooden panel

You can also click on the gift icon when downloading your caricature. You will then be immediately redirected to the webshop.

* Attention: Some products are only available in the Netherlands and Belgium. 

Is it possible to draw a caricature of several people?

That is possible to a limited extent. In our studio we can make caricatures of several people. Ask for the possibilities.

What can I do with my digital caricature?

You can download your caricature and use it in your own digital files. You can also print it on paper or another product.

Commercial use is only permitted after consultation with karikatuur.nl

You can set your caricature as a background on your computer screen or add it to your email template on PC or Mac.
